Honeymoon- Day 1: Getting to Disneyworld

Aaron and I left for Disney World on Sunday, 2 days after the wedding. Our flight left at 9:00am, which meant Joyce and Aaron's Aunt Linda were picking us up at 7am (since we didn't get to bed until around 2am, this was really early for us).

Anyway, after having a quick breakfast with Joyce and Linda, we went through security, got to our gate, and literally walked onto the plane! We were in an exit row, which was quite nice and provided a lot of leg room as you can see:
So after our 4 hour flight, we finally arrived at Orlando International Airport! Aaron had his first experience on an airport sky train:

After finding our way to the correct terminal, we loaded our Disney Magical Express bus. I have to say, this is a great service Disney offers, I've now used it 3 times and not once had an issue:
We were on our way to Disney World! I watched a portion of the video they show on the way, but was really not interested.. I was very antsy and excited to see this sign:

And then this one:

And then, we heard the worst beeping sound ever- the sound that makes you go, uh-oh! We were sitting up front and noticed two lights had come on for the bus driver (one red, one orange). We pulled over to the side, where he stopped and restarted the bus 3 times- luckily on the third time, we were a go!
We made 2 stops before arriving at our hotel (Pop Century and Caribbean Beach). Then we saw this:
We pulled up and checked in very quickly. We were staying in Jambo House (the main portion of the hotel) even though the majority of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) villas are in the new section, Kidani Village. Honestly, I'm very grateful we were in Jambo House- this is where the counter service restaurant (the Mara), as well as Boma and Jiko are located.

Our room was fabulous (living up to true DVC style), and we had a wonderful Savanna View:

We were just about ready to head down to get something to eat (I was starving, and when I'm hungry I'm cranky!) when we checked back out on the balcony, and our quiet watering hole had gone from quiet and empty to this:

After checking out the animals, we finally decided to head down, get some dinner, and do some shopping. I found my first towel! (I had decided that I wanted to get a towel from each of the parks as my "souvenir" for the trip).

That was really it for day 1. We had early breakfast reservations Monday morning, so really just wanted to relax on Sunday.

Up next- Cinderella's Royal Table!
